Booking

Any booking made on the dar-awil.com website implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions, in accordance with Moroccan law 31-08 on consumer protection and law 53-05 on electronic exchange of legal data.

Rates

Rates displayed are in euros (€), all taxes included. Payment is accepted in euros or Moroccan dirhams (MAD) at the exchange rate applicable on the date of departure. The local tourist tax (5 MAD per night per person, as applicable in Essaouira) is payable separately on-site.

Payment

A deposit of 30% of the total stay amount is required upon booking confirmation, by bank transfer or in cash by prior agreement. The balance (70%) is settled on-site upon departure from the riad, in cash (euros or Moroccan dirhams) or by bank transfer. No online payment is collected by this website. No banking data is stored.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the arrival date: the deposit is fully refunded. For cancellations between 72h and 24h before arrival, 50% of the deposit is retained. For cancellations less than 24 hours before arrival or no-shows, the full deposit is retained. Cancellations must be notified by email to contact@dar-awil.com.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Moroccan law 31-08 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, reservations for accommodation at specific dates are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance contracts. The cancellation conditions above apply instead.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM. Late check-in or late check-out is possible subject to availability and prior request.

Capacity and Liability

The maximum number of occupants per room is stated on each room page. Dar Awil reserves the right to refuse access if this capacity is exceeded. Minors must be accompanied by a legally responsible adult. The establishment shall not be held liable for damage to guests' personal belongings.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the guest is invited to first contact Dar Awil at contact@dar-awil.com to seek an amicable resolution. Guests residing in the European Union may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Moroccan law, in particular law 31-08 on consumer protection. Any dispute not resolved amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Essaouira, Morocco.
